Duty

Stayed back in camp to do duty yesterday cause of a last minute change in the timing from the collecting unit. But not so bad as I always prepared with my toiletries when in camp. All I need is a bed for me to sleep in. Hahaha I sound like those vagabonds. My job is one of the most neglected one. I'm like a forgotten hero working in the shadows. Luckily there's a bed, just no bedsheet. Well at least can sleep la. Chatted with the guardroom personnels till late night then sleep till the next morning to do my range duty. Well had a really good sleep. Can see that my eyebags has slightly disappeared. Felt so refreshed!
Downloaded the new MSN messenger today called LIVE! messenger? Ok it's still the same features. Nothing much new. If you haven't upgraded your messenger, it's time to do so.

Thank you for Sharing my Joy!

Saturday
Went for a my dad's brother's Son wedding at the Grand Coperthorne Hotel. It's really grand in there as the ballroom is so huge! Must have spent lots of money as there's lots of tables in there for the guests. Anyway there's the same traditional wedding procedure: Starting the couple will arrive in their wedding attire, then after that, will be the Cold dish presentation. Then the couple will go for attire change, then come back to cut the wedding cake and pour champagne into the stacks of wine glasses. Hmm I wonder what is the meaning behind cutting the wedding cake and pouring of the champagne? If anyone know the significance of it do tell me! Then eating of the 9 course dinner was so tiring. I almost fell asleep! It's just too much to eat + the waiting time. Finally left after the dessert where it's the end of the dinner. Pretty quiet wedding I would say. Not much rowdiness to celebrate the couple's bliss. Maybe it's the Hotel's high class that everyone's so well behaved. Got the cute door gift which is a bear dressed as the groom! The bride's with my sister. Actually she got both. lol.

Dun feel Like Working Day

No mood to work today. Just feel so irritated. Morning sat in a bus which air-con was spoiled. It's a HOT Sauna in the bus! Suffered in it for almost an hour's trip. Once I stepped out of the bus, outside's temperature is like AIR-CON. So imagine how hot it is in the bus. The whole day was spoiled by this hot sauna. Must be having SMP again.
Yesterday helped my sis to prepare the dough for making cookies. Middle of the late night making them, my sis must be crazy. She says it's to sell for some Charity that her school tells her to come up with. I hope no one dies from eating her cookies.

Baybeats Day 1

Woo! Today is the first day of Baybeats 2006! Came back home after work to change my clothes and have a quick dinner before rushing to the Esplanade. Just in time to watch the second band "Ingride" play at 8 pm. At 8.30 pm, rushed to the other side to watch "The Great Spy Experiment" play. I was waiting for this band to perform cause their songs are great! Woo! Great performance. It's a 4 guys and 1 gal band, and guess what? They are all teachers! Wow teachers nowadays have such wild lifestyle. Cause there's 2 locations, The Arena and The Stage, where the bands are playing, so when one performance ends, the other side of the stage starts their performance. The result? Non-stop performance. But tired also lah. Have to walk back and forth after every performance. After The Great Spy Experiment, is a performance by "West Grand Boulevard" with Daphne Khoo as their vocalist. Next is "Tiramisu". Ho ho this band is CRAZY. All of the guys cross dressed as girls and the lead vocalist is damn funny with all his funny expressions and antics. Left after that cause my legs are really tired after standing for so long! Great Night! Wish she was there with me....

France vs Italy

Match at 2 am. The World Cup Finals! France vs Italy! Well to tell you the truth I don't really know who I'll be rooting for. Cause Italy is one of my favourites while France has Zidane. Well Zidane has suddenly made a comeback bringing France into the finals since it's last defeat to Senegal. This uncle is one of the top footballers in the world and easily recognisable with his botak head haha. Damn the match is at 2 am! Why can't it be on a Saturday night? Argh... I think I'll be sleeping instead of watching..

海嘯 - SOLER
曲︰DINO ACCONCI
詞︰黃貫中
編︰LUPO GROINIG/SKOT SUYAMA

Guitar Lesson

Learned the Major Pentatonic scales today. Basically it's the Do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do in guitar. This can be used for solos. Teacher taught me the 7 "modes". Inorian, Dorian, Phrygrian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian. Sounds very cheem ya? Well it's really hard to memorise the words!
Came back home after the guitar lessons to practice more. Disturbing the neighbours with my noises again hahaha!

Superman Returns

Watched it today! I would say I'm not disappointed with it as it is a great film. The same greatness and quality of "Batman Begins". It's about 2hrs+ but you won't feel that it's long if you are a superman fan. 4/5 Stars!

Why I Chose to Learn the Guitar

When I was young I first picked up this instrument for fun. I used to go to my aunt's room to ask her to teach me to play. But a normal sized guitar is just too big for me to even carry. So I'll just lay the guitar on the bed and just pluck the strings. After that grown up le, didn't bother with it anymore. Computer gaming took most of my time. But still listen to some songs like Wakin, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Grasshoppers. Ha! I bet you kids dun even know who are Grasshoppers! lol. That was those days in Primary and secondary school. After that started listening to J-Pop like Luna Sea, L'arc~en~ciel, Ayumi etc. I just love Luna Sea's songs. It was until Polytechnic, when I was at a gathering with my classmates when one of them was playing the guitar. It was then I was so impressed that I vow to pick up guitar again. I digged up my dad's old guitar and started to learn by myself. It was quite hard at first, learning how to play chords like C, G, F. From very slow playing to getting faster. Slowly playing from classical guitar to Acoustic Guitar and to electric. It was then at some point where I was stucked. I can no longer teach myself. Plus I even more impressed at those guitarists who can play solos like it's part of everyday's life, especially Luna Sea's Sugizo. It's then where I decided to learn the electric guitar. Now I got a really patient teacher to teach my how to play the guitar all over again cause I had to relearn the good habits and throw away the bad playing habits that I cultivated over the years hahaha! He introduced me to Blues and many other music that I would not have been exposed too. Gotta thank him for his patience haha! I'll strive to be a wonderful guitarist!

Bomb Disposal Day

Damn Shagged Now. Woke up at 5.10 am, meet up with Xianzhi at the bus stop at 6 am. THen picked up Anand at Boon Lay MRT, finally headed to Pasir Laba Camp. It's bloody early in the morning and worst it's raining! WE cannot do anything when there is CAT 1 rain. Wait and wait, then when the rain subsided we moved all our stuffs to the disposal site. THEN it rained again. Waited until 3.00 pm, taking a quick wink during the waiting time. First was blowing up the mortar bomb using non-electric method which is like your conventional movies of lighting up gunpowder, then slowly it burns to the bomb and BOOOM!!! I was quite worried when my partner screwed up some part of the preparation when he touched the dangerous part of the detonator. My life is at stake here!! WEll the usually fierce OIC was pretty nice to us today, maybe because his life depends on us too. Lol. Heng ah. THere are 7 teams to blow up each bomb. We are the 5th team. Once all have been blown up, not finish yet. Still got missile to blow up! Waaa, shit sia! Due to time constraint we have to speed up the blowing, and we have to start running to the blasting site with the missile. And I'm the one carrying the MISSILE strapped to me. Heavy la! I haven't run in boots for a long time carrying such a heavy load. Managed to carry it all the way to the blasting site. AS this is a missile, more explosives needed to destroy it. Put lots of PE on it, set up the explosive train, then return to the splinter proof shell and press the button. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! Wah big explosion sia. Finally destroyed all le and we are able to return back home! Shagged. Non-stop exploding of bombs. We are the only MATT who did a real bomb disposal. Yay!

Bomb Disposal

Tomorrow will be my bomb disposal day. Going to dispose some bombs by exploding them with explosives as this is part of my 2 weeks course. It's been fun in SOA as our time was spent surfing the web and sleeping haha. Have to set off bloody early in the morning to the disposal site tomorrow. Hope tomorrow things will finish fast.

Tomorrow will be dear's first day at work in EY. Wish ya the best tomorrow!!

Saturday

Silent Hill
Watched this movie with Lance and Wee Long at Cathay. It's pretty creepy! If you think it's a crap movie, you are wrong! It's a good movie with such an engaging storyline and suspense. THough it's a bit sick. THe story follows about this mother searching for her missing daughter in a strange town called Silent Hill. As she searches, daylight becomes darkness quickly and creepy creatures start appearing attacking any humans they see...... I recommend watching this movie!
4/5 stars

After the movie, went to watch The World Cup, Portugal vs Iran. Portugal won 2-0. 11 pm went to clarke quay to meet other friends as they say they wanted to go Butter factory but too bad the age limit is 23 years for guys so they were bounced. Went MOMO instead. OK club, there's one room with live band and the other room is the disco room. But very smokey inside. My clothes stink with all the smoke when I got home! Left at 2.30 am. Yawn feeling sleepy now..

New Guitar on a Our Day

Got my new guitar today! Went down to Guitar77 shop and bought this new baby. Made my choice yesterday after testing another guitar which is the Fender 60th Anniversary Standard Strat, but it didn't impress me well at all. Woo love this baby after playing it, it sounds so damn nice and most importantly feels so smooth. Reached back home and started playing it! Soon more songs for you Shirley! It's the special day again!

The League's Glam Night

It's the League's Glam Night Out on Saturday! After my guitar lessons, met Neil at City Hall to buy Ryan's Birthday present. WEll we took a walk in the PC Show in Suntec before deciding on a Laptop bag for him. It looks damn nice! Should be very useful for him when he goes to NTU for studies. And Yah walking through the PC show on a Saturday can DIE. CAnnoT BreathE!! Totally PACKED with people which we have to wrestle through them. Whew! Neil came over to my house after that to use the computer to play some computer games. 7 pm. Met the gang at City Hall, then off to the esplanade to watch some outdoor concert by some Australian Band. Wonderful Concert! The music really got us grooving. Dinner was at Le Baroque in Chijmes. Nice food, but the live band really sucks. Still prefer UnXpected in Wala Wala. There was a soccer match too. England vs Jamica. England 6-0. They Kicked Jamican butt! LOL. After dinner, Ryan and Neil went home while the rest of us went to Dbl O for Clubbing. The place was really crowded! Oh yah the drinks there are cheap but didn't drink at all. Dun wanna have beer belly. Haha! Then went down to O Bar. Stayed there to dance. Yucks I saw someone PUkeD on the dancefloor! Luckily was still very far away from the accident area haha! Partied till 2 am before heading home with Leroy, Peishan and Marcus.

Rollerblading in Army Camp

Well today is the last day I'll be in camp before I'm going for MATT course which will be for 2 weeks. BUT on the last day also can't relax, cause suddenly shit comes falling down from the sky just like that. Surprise attack!!! Gotta do some decision making and trying to solve the problem. THere's no officer or Regular to help solve. Somehow as NSF together we are able to work together to solve a problem instead of shifting the blame. However there's still blaming to be done, if not there won't be such stuff happening. In the evening, there's a mass rollerblading session for all specialists with instructors to teach. It's quite fun as it's my first time learning how to rollerblade. But still not good enough to skate round like normal. Haha! After that there's some Dumpling eating session, bah just ate some to make myself full. Getting out of camp was the problem cause there's no transport down. Luckily got Chaozhi to give us a ride downhill!

Inaurigation Ceremony

Today is the Inaurigation Ceremony of my Ammo Base. It's a day where my base will be serving the air, the land and the sea, which is the Airforce, Army and Navy. We call it the tri-service. So today onwards will be EVEN more busy cause we will be serving 3 armies instead of 1. Gosh. Well today is the ceremony so it's quite a big hoo ha as there's all the high ranking officers coming down for the ceremony. So in the morning all 3rd seargents became rubbish cleaners and odd-job workers (sai kang warriors). We were split up into teams doing different sai kangs. I was in the tentage team, so we had to set up seats for the VIPs and the rest of the people. And we have to arrange the chairs with SUCH precision that every chair is aligned to the exact cm! YES it is that exact! OMG spent the whole morning arranging chairs lah. And all the effort goes into the drain in just 15 mins cause that's the duration of the ceremony. It's really fast! OK lah get to go home early at least!

Depleting Energy

I don't know why, but recently my level of energy has decreased a lot. Once Monday starts I'll start having dark rings around my eyes. The tiredness of working in a shitty camp and the lack of sleep just to go to camp. The only recharge I have is during weekends. Wanted to watch Da Vinci Code today but the theatres are fully booked. Not even a single good sit. Stayed at home to practice my guitar plus playing Oblivion. Any nice book to recommend reading?

Argh can't wait for ORD!!!

Friday Night!

It's a Friday! Our whole department took a half day off since there is no work for us. Went home and sleep for a while before heading out in the evening for dinner with my camp mates at the Esplanade. Ate at the glutton Bay, eating hokkien mee! Delicious!!! It's really really nice! After that went to Philanders for a beer where they serve beer in 1L mugs. It's really a BIG Mug. But I ordered the 0.5L mug cause 1L is just too much for me. The beer will turn warm before I could finish it. Prefer a nice cold beer! Hitched a ride with a friend home, but before that they detoured to Geylang to look at the red light district night life. Drove into those small alleyways where there's those budget hotels littered with prositutes. It's really shocking to see so much of them! It's more shocking that some of them are very pretty and look like those demure girls! And as usual, those alleys are littered with perverted men looking for a great time. Reached home at 12. Tomorrow is our Singapore's Polling Day!

Jasmine's Place

Saturday

Afternoon went for guitar lessons, quite a smooth day, played better than last week. Then stayed around the shop to look at some of the new guitars and do some test drive, I like the Parker guitars! Feels so smooooth.... Then sat and chat around with my teacher and the shop owner, listening to them play. Came back chatted with Dear for awhile before she headed back to her studies.
Went to Jasmine's place for a little get together with some delicious snacks and liquor. Leroy was the first one to reach there, followed by me, Hushie and Lynn. Later in the night followed by Ewan and Ryan. It's our share the latest news and thoughts about the future get together. Plus Jas announced that she's leaving for the United States for internship there. I think it's a good exposure and worth it since she was paid quite well for it. Most of the girls seem to be leading a jet setting life, for either studies or Jobs. While the guys will worry about the time we get to work in society after graduation. By that time we will be almost 30. Gosh. After some chatting we watched Gothica on HBO till 2 am. Then we guys living in the east say good night to Jas and Peishan before heading home to snug in our beds.

Sunday

Driving lesson today. Entered the circuit for the FIRST time. Man it's damn messy lah, lots of cars crowding around. Very confusing, don't know where to turn, my instuctor almost ended up screaming telling me to turn into different lots. Hell how do I know to turn in which hole? There are like so many lots to turn lah! At least get to experience the CIRCUIT for once. There will be more chances for me to familiarise with the warzone. Lol.

Down Day

Today was quite down. Went for my guitar lesson but I wasn't performing up to expectations. Still making quite a lot of mistakes due to bad playing habits. I have to change the bad habits first to play better. It's gonna be hard but I have to do it to be a better player! Meet Yanru today for coffee at Starbucks in Tampines to chat around, sipping coffee talking abt starting some courses on Astronomy. Talked till about 7 pm before heading home to modify my guitar.

Work

Sometimes it's hard to be a Seargent, you're just stucked in between your superior and men like a sandwich. When you are nice to your men, your boss F you. Bad, your men F you. Though usually will get the first one, cause your men will always chiong with you. The men will help you do many of the stuffs you need. So treat your men well haha. People attendance is always so hard to track, cause human beings has two legs which are meant for walking and wondering about. Haha guess no one will understand what I'm saying except those Specs.
Working the whole day, but it's quite enjoyable for today cause there's no stress when doing today's work. Simple and relaxed with us guys shooting each other with funny insults while working.
Weather's been having it's daily season changes, in the day was scorching hot while approaching late afternoon, it's raining heavily. Can't it wait till we reach home then rain?
Today while going home, my female seargent told me something worth pondering. Does your heart reflects how you look like? If you are the perverted type, do you have a perverted face? A kind hearted guy, do you have the face of a saint? Of course some of them are not true as there will always be some wolfs in sheeps clothing. Lol.

Went to Ewan's house for a German themed party! Had sausages and Hoegarden, with cheese on crackers, chocolate fondue. Yum! Left later to go to MOS. Outside was damn bloody crowded. Supposed to meet my friends there but they have went in. BUT MOS cover charge for that night was freaking expensive lar! 42 bucks to go in with only 1 free drink? Luckily I still have Alvin Ho who was also late. Didn't go MOS that night. Instead he and I plus his friends went to Zouk. Cheaper! Great night there, great music and dance, argggh miss my leng mui!

High End Guitar... BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!

Today's guitar lesson, not very smooth. Having lots of difficulty with new notes. Went for a test drive on some Fender Stratocasters today. Actually wanted to buy a guitar already, but the guitar my teacher recommended was gone.... sold to satisfied customer. Sad sia. But tried a few other ones. WHOOOO the feeling of playing a High End guitar is really different AR! The strings are easier to press on and play resulting faster playing speed! Wahhh must save more to get a good one! Waiting for the Progress Package $$$ now!! The Guitar is about $1400. MAY! GOnna GET one NEW GUITAR!!!
Went to watch Ice Age 2 at the New Cathay building beside Plaza Singapura. The Theatre is REALLY BIG LAH! Wah lao the grand theatre is as big as those opera theatre! Any way Ice Age 2 is so-so meant for kids. But the squirrel and his Nut stunts are damn funny!

Happy Birthday Yanru!

Saturday

Celebrated Yanru's 21st Birthday on Saturday at a function room in Aquarius By the Park Condominium. Met up with Huang Qi at the bus stop before going in. It's pretty simple celebration where all her friends are there to celebrate and it's like a huge gathering. Handed her her present which is a handbag. Haha now can reveal what we bought for her. Neil came later after his activation excercise at camp. After a while, we played a game called Bingo! And it's like we have to buy tickets at a $1 each and the accumulated money will be the prize for the winner! In the end there's 2 winners. Ended like around 10 plus before going to Ngee Ann Poly for some huge star gazing event. Just came back there to look around, stayed until about 3 am before heading home. Can't take it, I'm getting too old for this. I wonder if Neil walked home....... lol!

Sunday

Slept like a pig until Ewan called me to go for lunch at 1.15 pm. So met up with Hushie, Jasmine and Ewan first to Marina Square. After that headed to TCC in Millennia Walk for coffee while the rest of the gang arrives. After some chatting and suffering under the cold aircon, we left and went to Suntec City for German fair. Nothing to see there la! Boring. Dinner at a Russian restaurant in Arab Street, the food is nice. First time trying out russian food. There's a russian drink called "Kvas" (Pronounced as Quas). It's bread drink. It's tea made of Bread! YES! Bread! At first it smells like beer, then as you smell carefully it smells like bread. Taste a bit like beer.. but it's not alcoholic. Oh it doesn't taste nice hahaha. The drink looks alot like drain water. Lol.

Mystery Package!

Went out today with Huang Qi to buy birthday present for Yanru's Birthday. Hiaz again buying gifts for girls are difficult! Why? Cause there are too many things for females! So need a female to buy things for a female! Finally after some walking we bought the stuff! (Can't say out cause it's top secret!)
Reached home at 10 pm and found a little brown package on my table!

Thanks Dear for the package! What's in the package is really sweet!

Tiring Day

Tiring Day, finished duty yesterday. But sleeping in the spec mess is one of the greatest comfort you can get. Watched a Japanese Movie "NANA" on Sunday. Didn't know what movie it was, but it seemed to be adapted from a comic book. Anyway watched it and it was a really good movie! It's really touching and has really nice songs. It's abt 2 girls both coincidently known as Nana, one who is a demure girl who came to Tokyo to find her boyfriend and another to Tokyo to start off her new life. Mostly about love story but it's really well done and touching. Sob~ Sob~ hahaha.

Just Realised 11 March there's 2 of my anniversary! One is my enlisment to Army and the other is a special one!

Wala Wala In Holland V

Went to Wala Wala in Holland Village! It's my first time going to Wala Wala, if you don't know what it is, it's a pub with live band playing. Supposed to meet the gang at 7.30 pm but guess I was late. Bought Heineken 1-for-1 for $11. That's cheap! 9.30 pm, the start of band named "UnXpected" playing. They extremely entertaining and they play really good! One of the very best live band I ever heard. The Lead Singer Shirlyn was cracking cute jokes plus singing great songs. Nice. One complain abt Wala Wala, that it's really small in there and thus very squeezy plus ain't enough ventilation for smokes. The pub's full of it when full. Overall Yeh UneXected is good!

Passed Another Test

Took off today to go for driving lesson at 1 pm. Then drove around to familiarise with the different testing routes. There's a total of 10 Driving Routes! That's alot! Went through 5 routes before stopping at the Ubi testing centre to take my Final Theory Test. Studied abit for it dunno whether it's difficult or easy. Found the test quite easy although very tricky cause it's just testing your common sense again. I was praying to pass before clicking the 'submit' button and Whola! PASSED! Whew! Went down to the registration counter to book my practical driving test immediately but was told that I need a printed result slip. I thought the examiner said that the results will be captured in the system plus she said that the printer is down so have to go to the Traffic Police counter to get my results. @^%#%$!*%. Took a number 707, servicing number 651.. WAH LAO! Just as I started to wait the printer suddenly turned online. Hmmm funny. Went to test the printer to print my result, HEY It works!! LuCky! Then went to register for my driving test again. Wah the next test date is in August. That's a really long period of waiting time! Going to some indian restaurant to eat tomorrow!

When Something bad happens, it happens!

Super fugging tired! Was in camp for more than 24 hours on standby on Sunday while going on a mission. This mission should be able to end fast if everything goes smoothly but when the worst happens, it happens! From the start of our mission till standdown, lot's of unexpected shit happening non stop. It's really the worst case SCENARIOS (PLural! Not Singular!) From 7 am, bad things happening in our home base to other bases. Returning to home ground was not spared as another spate of unfortunate things happening again till 3 am. Some were really WTF funny. Anyway everyone in the team was damn tired, our poor officers were also beaten down by fatigue. The next day I had my duty and stupid unit pulled a stunt again. Basket, should arriving at 0530 hrs, it came at 0730 hrs to collect their ammo for range. LATE LATE LATE! Wanna F them upside down, inside out but was just too tired. Nevermind at least they gave me more time to sleep. I got the feeling they are going to pull another stunt again when they are returning their ammo!

Anyway here's another list of Army Lingos to Entertain you:

Pull Stunt ('Chu' Stunt)
Doing something unexpected which is not going to make other peoples life easy.
Example: Basket, that guy supposed to be on duty 'chu' stunt again went to report sick!

Chao Chee Bye
The most popular used phase when something bad happens...

KNNCCB
When something REALLY bad happens....

Macdonald's Extra Value Meals
Extra duties for you sir?

Upsize (for your extra value meal)
I'm sure you wouldn't want this.... and you don't have to pay extra 50 cents

Pokemon
Alternative way of arrowing. Pikachu! I choose you!

Why Don't you be good little boys and listen
Why can't you just follow instructions???

Spreading butter on your backside
Prepare to get F*ked.

F*ked left, right, up, down, inside out
Getting F*ked badly

Sunday

Went out with Yanru today. It's quite a while since we meet up. Supposed to meet up with her at 3 pm at Marine Parade. While she said she's walking from Katong to there cause she just finished her tuition lesson so it will take awhile. Well I waited for 30 min walking around Marine Parade area. This place is full of kids!! I almost fainted in there lol. Finally she reaches, we walked around looking for a place to sit and chat. Too bad all coffee clubs are full. So decided to watch a movie at Suntec. Chose Pink Panther, well it's quite funny but very 'kua zhang'. Just an average no brainer film. Shall watch Munich with Neil the next time. After the movie went for dinner at Carl's Jr since she wanted to try it. It's a day of conversation cause we just keep talking and talking until we reached home. Now my mouth is so tired due to overworking of muscles hahaha. Topics from Tuition to Neil, Neil to marriage, marriage to Ruide, Ruide to Astro camps, Astro camps to Selene, Selene to putting on weight, then to birthday celebrations then to Rich Dad Poor Dad. Amazing!

Plus! Learned to play Green Day's song on Saturday!

It's Monday again. Yup there's always the dreaded Monday Blues that everyone hates. Bought a new phone on Sunday to replace my defunctioning nokia 8250 which can no longer call, only sms...

Nokia 6030

Too bad the army camp don't allow camera phones so have to get a pathetic non-camera phone(and it's more expensive than camera phone!) Ok it should last for another 2 more years. Well tmr will be on off, yay! Rest day! Just stay at home and practice my guitar skills!

A Day in Sentosa!

Woke up at 10.30 am today. Was supposed to wake up at 8.30 am, my bloody phone hanged at 7.30 am. So no alarm, shit I'm late. But never fear! The rest of my army friends who I'm meeting are late too haha. Took a cab to Harbourfront, then recieved a message asking me to buy big bottles of water. )&^&%%#. Lugged the heavy load to the bus interchange to meet them. Luckily I don't have to carry it to sentosa haha cause the rest of them have to carry it since I bought them. Heheh. Reached the beach there finding a nice spot for us to camp. It's a hot sunny day! The sand is sooo hot that it's burning your feet! Played beach volley ball with all 9 guys! Lol, they were desperately trying to find girls clad in bikinis to join. Well of course too bad they had no luck with it. As it's getting really hot, off we go into the the water! At about 3 plus it started to pour! CAT 1!! Packed up our stuffs and walked to the nearest shelter where we resumed our ball games in there. At 6 pm, the rain stopped and we packed up, hungry and tired back to Singapore for dinner and home......

One Night in Zouk

Went out to Zouk on Saturday night(Surprise! Surprise!) with 4 of my army friends. Well it's my virgin trip to Zouk and Clubbing as well to the other 3 friends of mine except one who went before. We first meet up at Tiong Bahru Plaza for dinner before heading there. WELL 5 of us first timers didn't plan our route well, we don't know where is Zouk! Laughable! We took a bus to Great World City, however we walked the wrong direction to Zouk. Instead of walking towards it, we walked further from it almost going to Orchard. After sensing that something was wrong we turned back and walked the correct direction, after walking for about half and hour! Reached there about 10 plus and waited for another friend who was driving to Zouk. Guess what? He lost his way too. Finally after some leading directions we managed to get into the Club. Gosh I was the only one who needs to be checked for legal age! I'm 21! Argh! Anyway it's still early in there, not much people. Tried to find a seat to chill out first, we managed to find some just nice for us guys to sit. Beside us was a pretty girl just sitting down, was bored at first so just turned around and chatted with her. Found out that she was from Hong Kong for a holiday visit. Had a nice time chatting with her especially most of the time trying to overcome our language barrier. From then on is drinking party time. Had Volka Ribena, Volka Redbull, Volka Lime, Tequila shot(didn't finish it cause I dun wanna get dead drunk again), Tequila Pop(My opening drink) and Flaming Lambohgini. That's alot of drink right? Hell lota! One of my friends after a few drinks got dead drunk, gotta carry him. Luckily I sorta control the input of alcohol so I'm just tipsy not drunk. The girl got a little drunk too so just gotta send her back to her hotel safely. Managed to send everyone back home bringing one dead drunk back to my own home. Geez see? Bad thing to be dead drunk. It's a quite an experience for me first time in Zouk. Think Ain't going to clubbing again. It's an expensive chilling!

I Not Stupid Too

Went to Marina Square with Neil to watch I Not Stupid Too. Gladly to say that it's a good film. It's funny and has really tear jerking scenes that will make you cry. I'm sure some of the parts everyone of us can related to somewhere during our schooling days. Just found out from Neil that Huizi was working in Marina square at Venezia outlet. So went to visit her at the shop. Got to sample different flavoured non-fat icecream. Durian flavour taste bad. Bought a small cup of chocolate icecream, didn't expect Huizi to gave me such HUGE scoopfuls of icecream! Holy shit the icecream was overflowing! Managed to finish it haha Ahhhhh....yum.
However a good day was ruined by my younger sister. I was walking to home when I saw my mom waiting downstairs looking worried. Apparently my sis went missing after sending her bf off. This crazy girl didn't want to let her bf go home, then when he forced his way home she went on a crazy spree. I don't know what's on her mind she having this crazy madness like suddenly crying like a mad person whenever talking on the phone. I wanna bitch slap her to wake up her fucking idea. She's getting to dependent on her bf.

TELL YOU LITTLE GINNAS AH. YOUNG YOUNG SMALL SMALL GO INTO WHAT RELATIONSHIP? YOU FUCKING STILL DUNNO WHAT IS LOVE SHIT ALL THAT. THINK YOU GROW UP ALREADY HAH? TRYING TO ACT LIKE YOUNG ADULT. I SAY FUCK YOU UNDERSTAND. GO AND CONCENTRATE ON YOUR STUDIES UNTIL YOU REACH ADULTHOOD. AND YOU LITTLE BOYS SO YOUNG GO POKE WHAT EAR HOLE. EARRING VERY NICE HAH? WANNA BE CHAR BO IS IT? POKE POKE POKE, I CALL CHANGI AH GUA COME AND POKE YOUR BACKSIDE THEN YOU KNOW.

Luckily at least we know where she is. Stupid sis.

Back to NP

Took an off day and when back to Ngee Ann Poly's Open House to accompany some of my army friends as they are going back to reapply their enrolment to resume their poly studies. Anyway got one of them is also a biotech senior so just went to the new LSCT block to have a look. Gosh it's freaking far this time, plus he needs to find Dr Forday. Hence walking UP and Down looking for him, however still didn't managed to find him. (Just saw the news when I came home that he was on TV for creating a bread which contains live lactobacteria.) There are new courses now also like Nursing and Pharmacy. Saw Dr Koh too at the convention hall. Then waited for Qiao Xuan just to chat chat, sorry! Can't go for OB. Supposed to leave with Peishan and the girls to TCC but I got a visit to my Staff Sgt's house as his wife is cooking our dinner. Won abit of money gambling there lol. First Day of New Year

Ohh first day of new year! Time to collect some ang baos! Went to my dad's side relatives to 'bai nian'. I think Chinese New Year is a time where all your relatives will gather together as we seldom seldom see each other and see how the children have grown up over the years. Usual ah chit chat, eat tibits, watch tv, addition of new family members etc. I'm sure most of us will find the google box more interesting though this year's tv programmes are sucky. Afternoon went to my mum's side relatives. Had dinner there and 'Lao Yu Sheng'! Of course not forgetting gorging on New year goodies. Last year I mentioned one of my cousins seemed to spent lots of time dressing up and having werid hairstyles. This year he done it again! This time I think he's seems to be going for a sex change lol. WELL Now he has this punk hairstyle and shaved eyebrows with possible makeup. I got another who is so into gothic that her style for that day is like some Corpse bride. Interesting relatives I have huh? It's fun to see how people changed every Chinese New Year, especially suddenly they got a makeover.

Memoirs of A Geisha

Watched this highly anticipated movie on Saturday night with Neil. The movie is good but I guess it can be better cause other than the beautiful scenes and story on the transformation from the young Chiyo to the beautiful geisha Sayuri. I have not read the book by the way but I'm sure they tried to follow the details as closely to the book as possible. However the bad points are the casts, Zhang Ziyi doesn't have the factor that makes the audience believe that she's Sayuri. The feeling is very different once we got to see the young Sayuri and the grown up Sayuri. Nope don't fit at all. In fact I prefer the young Sayuri where you can feel the saddness in her especially those sad blue eyes. Second, they are speaking in English! It's totally weird!! I just can't take it. It's like watching a Japanese Anime Dubbed in English! I'll prefer they speak in Japanese, it's more fitting to the culture. Overall 7/10 stars!

Just finished my duty on Sunday. Other than the boring and tiring day in camp, we got raided by monkeys! Hell they sneaked into our dining area and started stealing food from our garbage. Caught one BIG monkey (about half my height if it stands up) red handed when it was walking out, then I stomped my foot and try to scare it away. It didn't even budge, it just stared at me. Looking how big this monkey is, I didn't try out more scare tatics in case it decided to jump and attack me. After my prowl is over, came back into my bunk and found monkey shit on my bed!! ARGGG!!! HOW DID THOSE MONKEYS GOT INTO THE BUNK!!! Must be those monkeys exacting revenge on me by leaving 'gold' pieces on my bed only! ARGG got rid of the shit and changed bed just to be safe.. Luckily no more monkeys shitting in the night.

Dinner and Music

Went to Marina Square on Saturday night for a short dinner with my friend at this mini eatery called "FIN" located near the exit of the shopping mall. It's kinda like a fish and chips outlet. Well ordered a seafood platter consisted of soft shell crabs, calamari, cod fish, fries, clam chowder and salad which we can't really finish the Fries! I think it can feed about 3 persons though it's meant for 2! Anyway the food is pretty tasty and plus they serve beers which goes well with seafood.
After that went to the Esplanade to see Shelley Leong performing at the Bay. The band is pretty good and her lyrics are kinda about life.

There goes my $200.....

I'm back! Came back after 2 days of shooting range. It was TIRING!!! For 2 days it was drizzling and raining the whole day. The day spent on shooting and waiting especially during zeroing of our weapons. The Range condition was very bad, wet ground, non working targets which never get shot down after shooting at it so many times. The frustration when your weapon doesn't want to cooperate with you. So you have to stroke and give it a kiss before you go for your shooting. Hahaha! I seen people doing that! Ya and during practice I was very very frustrated cause I keep missing my targets even when I'm pointing my sights right on target. Target up! Aim! Shoot! MISS! )&*%^)^*$^%*(!
In the end everyone did badly including officers and regulars. So everyone's $200 hope gone into the drain. Boo Hoo!

It's a Rainy Evening

It was burning hot in the afternoon! Then dark clouds came with showers of cold windy heavy rain. The rain quiet down after a while. Went to Bugis to meet up with Yingfang and Weiching for Hotpot dinner. Never seen them for a long time! It was pretty packed at the chong ching hotpot restaurant so gotta queue. It didn't take long for us to get a seat. It's like steamboat with 2 different kinds of food. It's quite ok, pretty decent variety. Ate till about 10+, then headed to Suntec City's Balaclava, but it was not open so next is starbucks beside it. Chill for awhile over there chatting till 12 before heading home. Thanks to Yingfang, Weiching and Patsy for the christmas gifts!
