Driving Lessons

Today went for my first driving lesson! It's pretty hard the first time as releasing the clutch during first gear needs lots of control! Everytime my car moves very slowly when starting to move lol! But shifting gears is fun! We started first in a deserted road in Ubi then after about 1+ hours. It's about time to go home, my instructor allowed me to drive home sia! Wah lao now in the main road a lot of cars so pretty scary. There were a few cock ups like shifting gears without pressing the clutch on the way. hahaha luckliy I'm back safe and sound! Whew!!

Golden Rules Not to Get Drunk

NEVER ever mix hard liqour with beer!! It's a killer drink.

Happy Birthday

Hey Happy Birthday Neil! He was celebrating his 21st birthday on 27 Dec by giving us a treat at a Waraku Restaurant in Orchard. It's a really rare treat from him! Hahahaha. We are to meet at Somerset MRT at 7 pm on Tuesday. Rushed down from work to home then from home to there! Met up with Leroy and Ryan plus our birthday boy there. Didn't expect it was raining heavily outside and the girls are out there stucked at a place which they don't know lol. It's Neil to the rescue with his broken umbrella and trash bag! Hahaha. Finally met up together after some waiting and off to the restaurant. HAha we ordered and ate to our hearts content while Neil was secretly counting how much he's going to pay...$$$
Anyway after the yummy food, it's time to open up his presents! Well we couldn't find him a girlfriend which he wanted, so we gave him a C.K perfume to attract some females plus our usual tradition (some kinky thongs with birds!) Hilarious! I went home eariler cause I was very very tired, gotta get some sleep while the rest walked along orchard back to the MRT. Oh well so if any of the females reading this entry, do consider my very good buddy ya? He's cute, does anything that you want him to do, speaks some german, loves war and have a soft spot for cute mei meis! HAhaha! HAppy Birthday Neil!

Dun mess with her she can do body slam on you! Hardworking and smart girl with lots of stamina when she's working. I'm writing good points for you ya? Wish you the best in whatever you do and hope we do have the time for chilling out! Hope you like the surprise!

It's Wednesday

Ho ho ho! Went shopping with mummy today with my 2 sisters. Well actually I was just going out just to buy a watch to replace my spoiled one. In fact 2 spoiled ones! The current old watch I was using just died as if it was short-circuited by an Electro Magnetic Pulse wave. (Hmmm is there some conspiracy of a new weapon of mass destruction?) The second watch which I got as a gift has some internal weather system, the inside of the watch is condensing with water droplets! Even after I opened it up and cleaned it away, it condenses again after a while! AMAZING, I can't even see what time it is LOL. Maybe there will be moss growing in it also hahhaha! Anyway it's send back to the manufacture's repair shop now.
Well bought a calculator watch which I think will be useful in my work as I always have to do calculations. Many of the times I have to face the horror of calculating large amounts of ammo when I forgot to bring a calculator along with me! Seemingly I can do mental calculations a bit faster than usual now *laughs*.
Walked to bugis, mostly buying books and Food. Shopping with my mum always ends up with lot of food. Munch Munch!
Yesterday's weather isn't so good. The air was still and stale that I was sweating like hell at home and almost gasping for air. Having a sore throat now plus bloodly thirsty the whole day, maybe getting the flu virus. Took some medication, hope will be fine tomorrow!

Quando Quando Quando

Tell me when will you be mine
Tell me Quando Quando Quando
We can share a love divine
Please don't make me wait again

When will you say yes to me
Tell me Quando Quando Quando
You mean happiness to me
Oh my love please tell me when

Every moment's a day, every day seems a lifetime
Let me show you the way to a dream beyond compare

I can't wait a moment more
Tell me Quando Quando Quando
Say it's me that you adore
And my darling tell me when

I'm so hooked on this song! Been learning this song for 2 lessons liao, progressing from simple chords to Jazz playing! Simpily addicted. Still needs lots of practice cause my fingers are all stiff lol!

Went to Jenny's Birthday Party at her house. Eat and eat, her mom makes nice and tasty dishes. Plenty of laughs when she was cutting the cake as cherie did the unexpected way cutting the cake plus crazy poses during photo taking! Happy Birthday Jenny on the 19 Dec!

Hold The Fort!!

I feel that my department is like the first and last line of Defence in a war. Faced with tight deadlines and most of the time crazy requests of ammo from units. We are like a few men faced against whole battlion of enemies coming towards us wave after wave. My Staff Sgt always says HOLD THE FORT! However reinforcements will never arrive one lor!

Not a Good Day

Argh this week is just so tiring with ammo keep coming in. My place is all packed full of ammo! Today I just felt very depressed and just feel like flaring up due to looking at people slacking away when you are working so hard for the past few days. Then when I thought it was over, I realised that I left my jockey cap in my friend's car when I reached home! Damn! I just feel like scolding, pouring out the unhappiness at them.

Does Age Matter?

Watched a movie titled "Prime" today. Well didn't know what show it was, I thought it was some comedy film at first but it was actually a romance film! No wonder the whole theatre is mostly filled with couples! The film is actually quite good although a bit draggy, some parts are really funny especially when there is a twist of fate. The story is abt a 37 years old woman who fell in love with a young man of 23 years old! At first love was great for both of them, great attraction, great sex etc. But after a while the age gap starts to appear and starting to widen the love between them. So will they live happily ever after? Guess I'll not spoil the ending. *wink*

Chicken Little Spotted in Singapore!!

Hmmm seems that Chicken little has secretly arrived in Singapore to Save the World! Do the Numa Numa Ye!

Big Boyz Toyz

Tra la la! Went out with Ryan and Neil today to the EXPO for an exhibition called the Big Boyz Toyz! There also have the SITEX Exhibition! First is SITEX where inside they are selling lots of printers, monitors, laptops and mp3 gadgets. However I dun really need those items so it's not really interesting.. Even there's no babes at all. Hey but Big Boyz Toyz is different! It's what the title suggested, FOr the BIG BOyZ! Inside consisted of Babes and Cars! However must pay to go in lah. $8 bucks for SAFRA members. Well Ryan wanted to go in to shoot some photos of Bikini babes cause there's a competition held there. Met Lynn in there as she's working as........no not a model, but a promoter for a GPS road guide system. I think it's quite an nice show for us as there are some really nice eyecandies for us to look at especially the models from a company who makes car rims called HanKook. It's not really nice to say this (NC16 words hahahha) but WOW there's this model who has really big boobs! Ryan went around taking photos of models who are posing for shots. He even asked one pretty Hankook model to take a picture with him. Sadly he asked the wrong guy to hold the camera hahaha. Neil was too stunned by the model's beauty that he fumbled with the camera! In the end he took a blurr shot of them! What a Waste!! HAha! But these models are really admirable as they got to endure many pairs of eyes looking or even staring at them, camera flashes keep flashing away while they have to smile all day plus having to stand all day on heels too. Not easy!

Astro Camp

Came home pretty shagged on Saturday morning cause I just finished my last guard duty for the month. Reached home had a REALLY good bath cause every time after duty come back so smelly. Then had a light sleep. In the late afternoon about 3 pm, went to the ANE camp for a visit. Well when I reached there they were starting their station games. So as always I'll prowl all the stations for a visit. Wah I regret going to the butter hill station. Got hugged by so many people who are already soaked in a combination of butter, oil, soap, mud and other stuffs you might not want to know lol. MY CLOTHES ARE ALL DIRTY and I didn't bring any extra clothes cause I thought I'll be there for awhile only. Argg. In the end went to wash off all the dirt and waited for it to dry while being half-naked....
However I felt that this camp had quite a few problems I dun wish to say. All the seniors who are there have the same thought as mine. Great Minds think alike! Well however we are just outsiders so we can't do anything unless requested by the committee members. There's a few tears shed by some unhappy comm members, but I'm sure everything's ok. To the poor girl: I'm sure now you do know abt your weakness, but I hope that you'll try to change yourself to be more optimistic, although you can't change your character, but you can change your habits. Dun give up so easily! After that went back home after midnight as I have some impt stuffs to do the next Morning... Hehehe but in the end after I left we seniors DID something that we hope will improve every screwed up stuffs hehhe.

Competitors from all over the world came to Singapore to compete for the world title championship. Some of the games officially held are Warcraft 3, Need for Speed Underground 2, Counterstrike, Fifa 2005, Dead or Alive 2 etc. Looking at world elites playing against each other with commentories blabbling away is really exciting. However, my stomach was growling away so didn't stay till the very end of the match ahhaa. Food comes first!

Basic Theory

Took a 1 day off today to take my basic theory test for driving! There's a trial test and an actual test for this basic theory, usually they are on different dates, so should you fail the trial, better study harder! Haha but mine both of them are on the same day. Took the trial test at abt 5.15 pm, now the tests are all computerised so you can see your results instantly. The Trial was easy man! No sweat! Don't have to worry abt the actual test. The actual will be at 6.30 pm, so I played my gameboy advance till time's up. Ha! The power of portable games whenever you are on the go! As usual the actual was a breeze too and the female candidates taking the test are pretty too! Hahaha! Did it in 15 minutes and left. Wanted to apply for the final theory test but the stupid admin office was closed when it was suppose to close at 9 pm! *Grumble* My mom came to pick me up, when moving off I saw a pretty girl who was in the same exam room waiting for a taxi. Should have picked her up along the way. Darn!

What a Day!

Today was a very slack and weird day. Well slack is that there's little work to be done so it's a light day although I feel very sleepy throughout the day. In the afternoon everyone in my dept gathered around and chit chat all the way till fall-out time! Then this weird part came, my mom called me saying that someone from the camp called my home asking where am I. Duh! I'm in camp lor! Why call my home when I have a handphone? I did not receive any calls on my phone also. I'm physically around walking in camp and nobody can see me? Is my camoflage skills so good that noone is able to spot me? In the end I finally found out that is the clerk looking for me *shakes head*.
After work went out with some of my friends to have dinner at billy bombers in Heeren. Well it's really filling although damn expensive. Then rushed to Plaza Singapura to catch DOOM. The movie is just for kicks only, don't expect anything spectacular. There are some funny moments where my friend got frightened at those not-supposed to be scary parts lol. Can't stop laughing at his expression! Some of thes guys are still quite young and still have a bit of child mentality where gaming is almost their life, hence pretty shut off from the world! Some are really 'suaku' about the stuff in the adult world like asking for the bill hahaha. Quite Laughable!

Sunday, November 06, 2005

Saturday

Went out with Ryan, Neil and Leroy to Plaza Singapura. We were supposed to catch some movie but too bad our schedule cannot fit to the movie timing as Ryan needs to go for guard duty tomorrow and I got a house warming to attend later. Well the funny thing is that there's lesser than normal crowd in Orchard that day. So weird. Anyway we had snack at long john before walking around to Heeren where we saw some mini fashion show. There were a few mediacorp celebrities there as well attending the small event. It seems to be a new opening of a boutique by the City Harvest Singer Sun.
After while bade farewell to the guys as I gotta go to my Staff Seargent's House Warming party as he recently just got married. He's home is really far! At Bukit Gombak area! Wah sit in the MRT until butt pain. Reached there hanged around and drinking lots of liquor. Volka Raspberry taste like Medicine! Then they tried adding coke and some chinese rice wine. It's worse!! Tastes REally REALLY BAD!!! YUCKS!!

Mei Ren Yu

Yang Yang: Mei Ren Yu! Mei Ren Yu! Where are you?

Me: Argg! Irritating......

Yang Yang: Have you seen my Mei Ren Yu?

Me: Mei Ren Yu SI BOH???!!! (Starts whacking him)

Yang Yang: Help! hElp!!

It's very irritating to keep hearing this guy repeating and repeating his Mei Ren Yu (Although she's very pretty). Yup it's back! The long episodes of local drama featuring complicated family disputes.

Never ever say "I Don't Know"

After being posted to department, we need to always be careful when we speak to our Supervisor in there. Never ever say "I don't Know" to him cause you might never lived to see the next beautiful day again. One time he's smiling, the next thing you know he will be shouting at you until you go crazy. This was what happened today to one of my colleague during fall-in:

Sup: Where's person A?
Poor NSF: He told me he reported sick.
Sup: What clinic?
Poor NSF: I don't know (DANG DANG DANG DANG! THE END!)
Sup: Call him (Getting very HOT)
Poor NSF: (Realised he didn't bring his handphone along) OH! I forgot my Handphone!
Sup: WHAT THE HELL! YOU ^)&^$(*^()*&&%^%#^! I DON'T WANT YOU IN MY DEPT, GET OUT! I'M POSTING YOU OUT! GO AND CLEAR YOUR OFF AND GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!
Poor NSF: ...........(went to office to take his leave)

Everyone present in the falling in parade was totally shocked and startled by this sudden thunder. Took us a few seconds before recovering our senses. Somehow he's violent personality is triggered by these 3 words. He can really crap and joke with us at times but when it comes to work he's a different person esp when he hears the 3 forbidden words. Well I got a lecture from him also for telling him the wrong work plan for the day. Hell the plan was actually changed yesterday last minute and I wasn't informed at all! How would I know??!! Then started telling me some bedtime stories like what I experienced during the days in Kemin. ARGG! It's not everyday that I can know EVERYTHING you know?

2nd Movie in a row!

Watched a movie again today! This time is Deuce Bigalow! I think this is another must watch movie if you liked the first Deuce Bigalow movie! I kept laughing from the start to the end! After the movie, went for dinner at Alison hotel with Lance. There's a Japanese restaurant there which he recommended. The food there was good although it was a bit expensive, but the waiteresses are VERY PRETTY! Can't help looking at them! OK lah at least I managed to concentrate on my food. After that went home early cause there's work again tomorrow.. argh!

40 Year Old Virgin

Watched this show as the title seems very funny and interesting. And it is in fact extremely funny! You can't stop laughing while watching this as the movie shows how this poor guy gonna cope with the fact that he is a virgin. The jokes are crude but some parts are gets you laughing your guts out like waxing chest hair. Ouch! Somehow this guy looks like one of my friend. They actually have the same type of eyes!

20 year old NSF Commited Suicide

Heard from my mum that a 20 year old NSF driver committed suicide due to long delay in sentencing his punishment after he got into a car accident. He just waited and waited till he chose the easy way out. I guess he can't take the stress of not knowing what kind of punishment he will get. For your info Drivers will usually get into Detention Barracks which is equivalent to jail, if they are involved in an accident. So Jail = criminal record which = refusal of entry to University. So I'm sure that every future Undergraduates are very careful not to make this kind of mistakes. With every NSF batch having a higher education, it's not surprising that one will get worried that their future will be ruined because of that. However I feel that it's extremely stupid to kill themselves over such thing. Your LIFE over a piece of paper?? Poor thing. I wonder how are the future generations are going to take this kind of stress.

Back to Tekong

Today gotta send some Ammo to Tekong, So I tagged along as an understudy and escort for the shipment. Got on the Rover and started our journey to Tekong. It's a long and slow trip cause we are not supposed to speed, only to go at 50 km/h. It's really slow as I can see all the vehicles behind us are very frustrated haha. The fun part was on the Vehicle Transport Ship. Wah moving on the sea is like a nice holiday cruise, with the wind blowing on my face through my hair. Exhilarating! It's a different feeling when you are goin back to Tekong as a Corporal. Looking at those recruits reminds me of those hard times there. Oh and I guess those 2 Superstars guys are in there as recruits now serving the Nation. Nothing beats the heat wave in Tekong, and it's really HOT today. Later went back again at a bloody slow speed, sat till my butt hurts! Tommorrow will be another day of escort services.
On the way home at the bus stop at KAP, met Jing Ting, my bio coursemate at NP. She's now in NTU, the last time I met her was at Ivy's Birthday Party although didn't have the privilege to talk to her much. Asked her abt NTU life there, somehow I'm stucked whether to go overseas to study or stay in Singapore? She encouraged me to go overseas, as it will be shorter compared to NTU of 4 years. However I'll be all alone there, no one with me. Or NTU? I'm really in a dilemma. How much will change after 1.5 years?

Densha Otoko

Nothing interesting happening, so just introduce you to one fabulous drama

Adapted from the best selling book "Train Man," this is the true life story of a geeky young man's romance with a beautiful young lady. The book is based on actual messages posted on a huge internet discussion board in Japan. A million internet users followed the Train Man's romance, giving him advices on how to impress the girl and take her out on dates. Train Man belongs in the so-called "Akiba-kei" category: a term that describes nerdy looking men who hang out at Akihabara (the famous electronics area in Tokyo) all day, who are obsessed with video games and computers.

Hermes

Saori Aoyama is a 25-year old woman who works at a foreign company in Tokyo. She has lived overseas for a long time and is fluent in English. She has an aura of sophistication and a beautiful face that turns men's heads.

One Sunday, Saori had to attend a party at work. Her female colleagues are busy searching for good-looking guys while Saori attends foreign guests, flashing warm smiles at them. After a long day working, Saori rides the train home only to be involved in an incident that would change her life.

Inside the train, Saori is harassed by a heavily drunken man. When the drunk reaches to touch her face, a young man stands up and says, "S... stop that!" She turns to see a very weak looking young man. The young man's action sparks up a quarrel in the train. He feebly says, "I'm sorry for getting you all involved. This is my fault." Some of the other passengers have annoyed look on their faces, but some praise the young man for his courage. Saori also seems impressed at what the man did for her.

Train Man

The young man is 23-year old Tsuyoshi Yamada. He is the typical nerd obsessed with anime and computer games. He always hangs out in Akihabara, the electronics center in Tokyo. Tsuyoshi has no interest in fashion and other trends, and his age equals the number of years he hasn't had a girlfriend. He works as a salesman at an employment agency but is always scolded by his boss.

Tsuyoshi just happened to be on his way home from an event in Akihabara when he met Saori. He has never been in a fight before, but the sight of the drunk harassing Saori made him furious as he stood up to protect her.

The only things Tsuyoshi is usually interested in are anime and video games. But something about Saori's beauty lit a fire in his heart, giving him courage. When he's looking for words to apologize, Saori hands him her date planner. "I want to return a favor, so can you write down your address?" Tsuyoshi is taken back. He has been humiliated a thousand times by women, but never appreciated, especially from a beautiful woman like Saori. Saori has a sweet smile on her face as she watches Tsuyoshi write down his address with shaking hands.

Hermes and Train Man

If it wasn't for the drunk man in the train, Tsuyoshi and Saori would never have become acquainted. A few days after the train incident, Tsuyoshi really receives a package from Saori. Inside was a Hermes tea cup. Tsuyoshi held the bright orange cup with his shaking hands. Unfortunately, he has never had a girlfriend in the past and is at a loss about what to do. That is when he visits a huge internet discussion board for some help.

Tsuyoshi immediately becomes the center of attention. Other computer freaks reply one after another. "Call her and say thanks!" "No, it's better to keep it a memory." Reading the heated discussion, Tsuyoshi is touched that so many people are supporting him even though they don't know each other at all.

Since then, Tsuyoshi has been referred to as "Train Man" and without her knowledge, Saori was being called "Hermes."

Ever since Tsuyoshi received the Hermes cup, his everyday life is filled with new experiences: calling a girl, mobile phone messages, buying clothes, going on a date, holding her hand, walking her home, visiting her room... Everything that happens between him and Saori is a big event and miracle for Tsuyoshi. He does his best to hide his geek-ness. Tsuyoshi's mind is occupied with just one wish. "I want Saori to like me."

On the other hand, Saori is starting to be moved by Tsuyoshi's efforts. "Maybe I can trust Tsuyoshi" she thinks. What Saori looks for in a guy is not his money, nor his looks or brains, but "honesty." In the past, Saori was betrayed and deeply hurt by her longtime boyfriend. She found out that he had a wife and kids. Since then, Saori could not stand a man that lies.

What happens when Saori finds out what the real Tsuyoshi is like? How will she react when she discovers she has become a heroine on an Internet site?

What a Rubbish Day

Today's bad! The whole camp was tasked to to salvage and clearing of rubbish. Didn't know that the rubbish pile was soooo huge!! WTF and they wanted us to use our bare hands to clear the pile of shit that has been accumulated for 4 months! Why didn't they have a container to hold the rubbish instead of dumping them on the ground to breed mosquitos. Really no brainer. Suck thumb so by hook or by crook must be done. Sickening, the plastic bags already started to break down, spilling all the contents out. Load them on to the forklift then load onto the dump truck. Inefficient, but this is the best way given such limited resources. Grrrr. And I thought I'll never see Maggots again. Wrong! This time is WORSE! Termites! Maggots! and HUGE WORMS! ARggg!

The Brothers Grimm

Watched this movie with Leroy, Ewan and Neil on Saturday. I initially thought it was like Van hellsing kind of movie. Well it wasn't exactly like that but it's more of your bedtime stories read to you when you were young all mixed into one and with a slightly sinister plot. The story goes like this: 2 brothers who were fake exorcists going around cheating ppl of their money until they were caught by the French and sent to a village to solve the mystery of children who went missing in the forest in which each of them is a character of some fairy tale. When they enbarked the journey, they found that the forest is enchanted! It's quite entertaining and quite funny. The actors acted really well here though the plot is abit weird. 3/5 Stars!

After the movie, Ewan left first. So the rest went for a walk around Taka. Damn then later found that my phone's vibration stopped working. Now can't even know when I am I receiving a call or message. Sobz... Saw some unique curry puffs Neil wanted to buy. Saw a Durian Curry Puff! Wow, bought it to try and it's delicious! It's filled with durian fillings instead of the curry. Good!
Went for a simple meal at Pasta Mania and headed to a pool centre somewhere near Sunshine Plaza. The place is very cosy and nice, like a trendy coffee club. Too bad no place and was quite late so headed home instead.

Today half of my Sunday burnt due to activation exercise. Carrying all my battle stuff and go suntan. Wah finally got to reach home and nua...

Nowhere to Hide, We are watching you

Have you ever got the feeling that you are being watched wherever you go? Was surfing Chao Zhi's Blog when he obtained this amazing software called Google Earth that is able to show you satallite pictures of places around the world anywhere! It's superbly amazing and detailed that you can even see the planes in Changi Airport!

Found Singapore!

Zooming in.....................

OMG Marina Bay and saw a familiar building? The Esplanade!

Look how advanced technology is? You can even zoom in to your HDB block!! If such a software exists to the public, imagine those with even better technology that can even see you shitting in your toilet just by pressing a button! You are being Watched....

Finally Graduated

Finally today is our graduation! So looking forward to this day! Slacked during the morning before cleaning up the room for a presentation of certificates. The ceremony took place in the afternoon where our base CO came down to congratulate us on our graduation and handed us our certs and badges plus an opening speech which is a little too long (A bit lor sor). Then later our OIC gave us our new posting and then a mini tea reception. Then waited to go home and ready for tmr where we report to our new units. Well these 13 weeks have been quite a memorable one since it mostly contain nightmares (the tests! the Horrors!) and feeling downs. However there were fun times sticking together and graduating together with each other. Tommorrow going to report to my new Unit!

Finally Joined the Fire Sect. It's called an Ammo Badge!

ATT Gathering at PS

Had a gathering with my coursemates at Plaza Singapura in the night. Before meeting the guys, met up with Jason, my coursemate too, to bring him to Sunshine Plaza to look at those anime figures. There is another heaven to anime freaks cause there sells quite alot of anime stuffs. Since no more Clarke Quay toy shops, here is the place!

Bleach Figures

FMA cute figurines

After that met up with the rest at PS. Well not all came cause some "flew aeroplane" at the last minute. One of my coursemate was a married regular and he brought his family along too. His baby is sooo cute! We went to Swensens to have our dinner!

Deciding on what to eat....

Pam: Looks like a Terrorist!

Jason and his Weird look

From L to R: Randy, Me, Lingo

Tim getting a hug from Pam

Randy and his son Wilson

Bartop dancing!

Can't stop playing with Randy's son. Cause he's so cute! I think babies are the cutest when they giggle and laugh. Carried him around then kept making funny faces just to make him laugh. Cute thing is he keeps staring at ppl with his big eyes, guess he was wondering who are these guys hanging around with his dad.

Awww makes me wanna be a dad now

Damn hungry waiting for the food and finally it arrives!

My Chicken Cutlet!

And Dessert!

Finally we ate our full and left the restaurant and headed to Paradiz Centre to play pool.

Tim taking over as Dad now!

Reached there, Randy and I played Snooker while the rest played pool. Snooker is really not easy to play cause the table is sooooo big and smooth! The distance is so far that a slight deviation makes a big difference!

Hitting most of the red balls only....

This is Sam! Very kiddish guy lol

After a tiring session of looking at so many balls, we headed for home. Awww Wilson fell asleep while we are playing. Haha. Took a bus with Jason for a ride home and prepares for school tomorrow. Wanna thank Jason for his Photos from his new Olympus Camera!

A ride back Home!

We're going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

Went to the zoo today cause got free tickets by the Army. So morning was trapped in the room for a few hours cause almost every personnel has gone for the Zoo trip except us trainees which can only go AFTER they left the zoo. Ok had early lunch then we all took a taxi to the ZOO! Waited about 1 hour for our commander before we can enter (More waiting!). Finally got in, then later our commander throw smoke bomb and left (must be sneaking home). Anyway the trip was quite fun as I think I had not been to the Zoo for more than a decade. Got to see elepants, Zebras, Lemurs etc. Too bad didn't bring my camera along. But the happiest thing is that we can go home early!

Rainy Days

Seem to see rain these few days. Went for dinner with Ryan, Ivy and Peishan on Friday. Just nice he messaged me during fall out. I was about to make my way home cause it's raining and confirm you can't see any stars. So didn't make my way to NP.

Today went to Plaza Singapura to have lunch with Yanru after so many declined requests by me cause was too busy to meet up with her. She does look different after she rebonded her hair. I think a person's hair make up of 70% of his/her outlook. Just a different hairstyle, with hair and botak does make a person look differently! I'm gald the botak days are over! Then later met up with Neil at orchard. Such a coincidence that he's in orchard too when I called him. Apparently he just taking a walk there after some Air Force Anniversary Run.
Somehow I'm back to the days of gaming again after the incident. Back to where I started?

Damn and today is such a nice day for a jog!

Queenstown Char Kway Teow

Went to eat Char Kway Teow with my coursemates after school today at Queenstown area. The stall can be easily recognised by it's single bright shining bulb with a long queue of eaters queuing up for their plate of the famous Char Kway Teow. Found a seat, then go join the queue. Luckily it was still early so not much people queuing up. Wah the uncle can fry very fast sia. Ordered 6 plates for just 4 us! See how hungry we are? Of course there was cockles in it. I think this stall served the most cockles in a plate of char kway teow. I think theres more than 10 in it and they are huge! Wah eat 1 plate I already sick of the "hums" already. My friend keeps passing them to me! But the dish is delicious! Very good place for hum lovers.

Wah! Lots of hums left over!

Biggest hum we found. Look at how huge compared to the smaller one.

Meteor Shower on 12 Aug- 13 Aug

Spent the night in NP looking at the sky for meteors. However, the view was hampered by bad cloud weather. Nevertheless there are a few strong ones which managed to pierce through the clouds to give us a spectacular fireball.

453 days to ORD

453 days seemed so far away.... still got hundreds of days to go.

Today was not a good day at all. As the most of the Perm staff were off except for a few poor souls and us trainees which still have to come to school to do what? NOTHING. It's supposed to be project day but we can't do anything cause we are forbidden to bring any computer electronic stuffs to school. Our boss really have no brains, expect us to do project using computer whereas we don't have one?!! He's not even in school today! Bought a 2nd Gameboy Advance from my friend just nice can play to pass some time away. After lunch we went for our healthy lifestyle but halfway in our game we got scolded by our deputy commander cause there was no warrant officers around and we didn't ask for permission. We almost got confined! I don't know we will really get confined this weekend. Hope not. Apparently he told one of our coursemate that we are not supposed to play today during lunchtime but our friend didn't relay the message and just wanted to test the system. So most of us were farked without knowing what's wrong. Hope our Deputy commander didn't take this incident too harsh as he's one of our only senior that we can talk comfortably.
Damn tomorrow is another day.

National Day Eve

Morning was shit as I was raining very heavily on my way to school in Bukit Timah. Even with an Umbrella half of my body was soaking wet. The only thing dry was my head. Went for some National Day parade at Base. Got a half day today! I was hoping for it and haha we got lucky half day for us. After lunch waited for the bus which was supposed to come at 12.30 pm but it was delayed until 1.30 pm. Damn was rotting in school during that time!
Reached home got changed and out again with Ryan to the Carnival@Marina. Quite a lot of people were there for the festival. Went there to look at the Army displays plus some photo taking. There were rides in our SAF light armoured vehicles and fire engines and many static displays of military weapons and vehicles.

Bronco

AMX10 Tank

SM1 Tank our mini tank

Bionix IFV

Our new Arty Unit "Primus"

Went for a few shooting with the SAR21 with blank ammunition. Hiaz I pity the guy who is going the clean the rifle after the event ends hahaha. You know that cleaning a rifle which have shot blank ammuntitions is a nightmare?

Super Puma

After a tiring day, we headed to Marina square for Dinner at Carl's Jr Burger. The Burger is freaking HUGE! You thought Burger King's Whooper burger is big? Look at this!

BIG Right?

Ryan trying to stuff the burger into his mouth

After a super filling meal we started our hike to the Sheares Bridge to get a good view for the fireworks. Guess what? We HOLLANDED (Got lost). Hahahaha getting to the bridge is actally quite a task for first timers. But we have our RECCE commander here so we finally made it to the top facing the Esplande.

Walking on the Expressway....

I've reached!

Took a few testing shots at the city and we found something........

A city night

The Esplanade

We were facing the wrong side!!! It's actually at the opposite site! So we had to head down the bridge again to walk to the other side which is Marina South. Dying of thirst, we went to the bay area for a drink and rest by the shore. It's quite a nice place to chill out there.

By the bay

Finally headed up the the bridge again, this time facing the correct side of the bridge. We then waited for midnight with the rest of the photographers for the fireworks show. Waitign was even more tiring, luckily there's Ryan's mp3 player to keep us awake till 1155 pm. Finally 1159 hrs, rdy the camera. 0000 hrs Boom! first shot of fireworks. Everyone's camera started snapping away and adjusting settings trying to get good shots of the fireworks.

Inital shots of pyrotechnics

Roses are red

Violets are.....violets

Pretty purple fireworks

Somemore.....

The Finale

This time the fireworks were quite far so there was not much excitement there. Maybe we were tired too. Well after the whole event ended, we headed back home for a good night rest.

HAPPY 40th NATIONAL DAY
