Cashcrate

Saw this website from my friend's blog which lets you earn cash by doing surveys. Though there is not much offers to do now, hopefully there will be more in the future. It's free anyway!

Anyway here's the link to the website

Money Money

We are getting money again for our GST offset package! I think it's a good time for it to be release since we are all facing inflation now. But this is short term help. Anyway who would not want free money? (You'll probably spend it sooner or later).

Singaporeans Are Stupid

Well I might get whacked for saying this but I guess it is true. Singaporeans are stupid, even though I myself is a Singaporean. We loved to be spoon fed. Just on anything or any situation, we would always ask people what to do instead of finding out the solution ourselves. We depended on other people to give us the answer to the solution, and even though it is wrong, we gladly accepted it. Well, blame it on our education and the way we are brought up. Our upper generation always tell us, study hard, then get a job till you get old, get your pension and CPF money when you retire and you will have a great future. This probably works in the 80s but sadly in today's cruel world, this is not going to work. We will probably end up studying hard, get a job, work harder, and then...... work even harder till we die penniless. Plus in whatever classes, Singapore students just love to wait to be given the answers to questions. When our lecture ask a few simple questions, the whole tutorial class is quiet, waiting for someone or some idiot to answer, even if they know the answer. Hey I admit, I'm guilty of it sometimes. however at times, I'm one of the idiots who answered back cause I could not stand the long silence. We are stupid because we believe what the "experts" say in the media. Be it in economics or any other things. Now I have known what it means to be critical in what we read and do, though it is not going to be easy to change the typical Singaporean habit.

I came across a very interesting maths question:

3 men gathered for a dinner at a restaurant.
They happily ate and drank and the bill came up to $25.
So each of them paid $10. So total they paid to the waiter is $30.
So they got a change of $5. They tipped the waiter $2 and shared the remaining change. So each of them got $1 back.

So when they were happily walking out of the restaurant, one guy was still calculating the bill. And then he suddenly said: "HEY! One of you cheated me of my money! If we paid $10 each, then get back $1. So total we paid $9X3=$27, we tipped the waiter $2. So where's the missing $1?????"
