It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, at around close to 2, we walked towards Goodwood Park Hotel which was located right next to Far East Plaza in Orchard Road for a High Tea Buffet. This was my first time going for some high tea buffet at some hotel cause usually I do not splurge that much on buffet on cakes and finger foods. Reserving your table in advance is a must for this buffet as it is so popular. I reserved it in a week advance for a table for that saturday at 2 pm. The buffet starts at 2 - 5 pm.
Seated at the table, we were given a menu of choices of teas to choose. Not bad quite long list of variety of teas. I chose a tea which goes well to wash away the sweetness of cakes. Girls absolutely love high tea buffets. Most of the customers I saw are mostly women, rich young taitais, couples or families. The environment was very relaxed and comfortable which made me sit there for almost the whole day enjoying some life.
Being hungry since morning, I went for the sandwiches. OMG they are damn nice and delicious. Some of them are topped with caviar and many types of ham, even Parma hams. Oh oh oh so delicious. Nice spread to keep eating and eating. Plus with the tea, oh oh oh so good!
Sandwich spread.

The mango with prawn croissant tingles the taste buds of sweet and salty

The finger foods are disappointing though

These are lovely!!!

Cakes!!

Chocolate fountain for fondue lovers
After somewhile there will be someone playing the piano to add the atmosphere of nice relaxing live music. Wish you were a tai tai now right?
Lp went on a eating spree. She kept eating and eating cause the food is just so good. In fact she actually ate more than me! Probably due to cakes and icecream which they have a bottomless pit for it. Eat eat eat, stop, relax, sit for a while, read newspapers, then eat eat eat again. Sat there till almost 5 pm. So full afterthat. No need for dinner already.

A very full Hitori.
The price is about $30++. Total we paid about $71 bucks. Great food for a tea buffet.
P.S. There is two types of high tea buffet at two different cafes. One is the English tea, the other is local buffet. So do check their website on more info.
