It was meant to be a surprise for her, keeping secret on where I am going to bring her to. Even till we are there at the flyer building, she had no idea on what I am going to do. Haha. Told her that we are taking the Singapore flyer, she was overjoyed. Going to the Flyer centre was quite inaccessible as we had to take the MRT, change a bus and then walk a little distance to there. The flyer is just so huge. Taking photos of it was quite a big challenge. At least managed to get part of it in the shot.
I bought the 7 pm ticket, It is one of the best timing for the flyer as you probably be able to see the sunset and also the transition from day to night which lets you get the most out of your money. $29.50 per adult which is quite expensive. But spending it is ok for an experience. It's more to bring in the tourists when the IR is up (tourist trap!).
There's quite alot of people that day, partly due to Mother's Day. Walked around the centre till about 6.45 pm to queue to board the flyer. Longggg queue, but proceed fast. As you can see, the sun is setting giving a nice hue to the sky.

In the boarding gate.

Getting into the capsule, the staff would open the door and you will hop in while the flyer rotates.

Looking at the next capsule

A nice view of the city. The view of the city is nice. The whole ride will take 30 mins and it's moving veerrry slowly that you don't feel that the wheel is rotating.

Soon night time view. The capsule is not a very good place to take photos especially night photos as there will be reflection and taking portraits is really bad.

Lights lights

After the ride, we took a bus back to the esplanade and walked back to suntec city for dinner at pepper lunch. Hungry la!
